David Artell has revealed to the club’s official website that Chris Porter underwent a scan earlier in the week and the report came back fine over his hamstring tweak.

The club’s leading scorer was withdrawn after 35 minutes against Eastleigh in mid-week as a precautionary measure and his replacement Chuma Anene scored twice in a comfortable 3-1 win.

David told crewealex.net: “Chris came off on Tuesday. He felt a twinge in his hamstring and we didn’t take any chances with him.

“He has had a scan and it has come back fine so we will see how he does today before we decide what to do.”
