Perry Ng is sticking to his bet with his team-mates that he won’t undergo a haircut until he breaks his barren run in front of goal! The Alex skipper last scored in April 2018 and the dressing room banter about virtually other member of the squad scoring the season led to Ng’s bold claim.

His hair is beginning to get on his nerves a little but it has all been in fun jest and Ng is desperate to get his first goal of the campaign so he can get to the barbers!

Perry said: “I’m hating it at the minute and I’m getting stick off everyone.

“I’ve always wanted to grow it long but never had the bottle to do it, but the lads have given me a little bit of a bet and I’m not going to cut it until I score, so I’m going to stick with it and hope I get one soon!

 “My mum and dad are going mad, they said it looked terrible on telly the other night, so I’m getting stick off everyone.

“I need to get on penalties but (Chris) Porter won’t let me!

“I’ve not thought of a celebration yet but Fred Barber did say he’d come and cut my hair when he scored, so I can run over to him and he can get the scissors out.”
