In their last match before Christmas, Crewe Alexandra will look to kick-off a hectic festive season with the best gift of all – three points.

Dave Artell’s side drew 1-1 at home to Mansfield Town last Saturday, meaning they currently sit in fourth place in SkyBet League Two.

The draw saw the Alex stretch their unbeaten run to five in all competitions.

With Christmas and a packed schedule on the horizon, Crewe will look to return to winning ways as they travel away to Stevenage.

Crewe: Dave Artell said he will make a decision on whether or not to play Chris Porter, after the striker missed Saturday’s game against Mansfield.

Tom Lowery and Christian Mbulu are fit, following a bout of illness last week.

Stevenage: Saturday’s game will be the last in charge for Mark Sampson, with Graham Westley returning to the club as manager.
