Mbulu: "Everyone Was Disappointed That The Game Didn't Go Ahead"

9 December 2019

Crewe defender, Christian Mbulu, has told the club’s official website that it was an unusual situation to be involved in with our game against neighbours Macclesfield Town cancelled at the weekend.

The centre-half, 23, says that the team prepared as normal and that there was disappointment when the game was called off on Friday afternoon due to Macclesfield’s on going strike action.

Christian told the club’s official website: “We were unsure all week about what was going on and we just prepared just as normal. We found out Friday afternoon that it wasn’t going ahead and it was a bit of a weird feeling.

“We wanted to play the game after the FA Cup game. We wanted another game as soon as possible and get back to winning ways, so to have the Macclesfield game delayed was disappointing.

“As a player you just want to play games. We came in to train and training was really tough, so I think I would have preferred to have played the game!”
