Alex Boss Expects Tough Away Task This Weekend

19 December 2019

Stevenage may be struggling but Alex boss is expecting tough encounter against League Two draw specialists.

David Artell is expecting a tough away assignment at Stevenage this weekend. The Alex boss says that the presence of the new Stevenage boss Graham Westley will give the home side an added incentive and with just over half the season remaining, the strugglers will be fighting for their lives to remain in the EFL.

Ahead of this weekend’s League Two fixture, the boss said: “Stevenage will be hard to beat. They have had a lot of draws this season and they are tough to play against, especially at their ground.

“They have drawn a lot which means that they may not be used to winning but they are not used to losing either. It will be a tough game and with Graham going in there as well, it will only increase the expectation.

“He knows the club inside out and has had three relatively successful spells there before, so I am not surprised that they have turned to him again and that the chairman, who knows him well, has appointed him.”
