Artell: "We Will Wrap Chuma Up In Cotton Wool"

21 December 2019

David Artell says that Chuma Anene picked up a slight niggle in the 5-1 win over Stevenage at the weekend and that he will be wrapped up in cotton wool ahead of our Boxing Day clash at Salford.

Anene scored two at the Lamex Stadium at the weekend to take his tally to seven for the season and with Chris Porter struggling with a hamstring strain, the Alex will be relying on the Norwegian to lead the line at Salford.

The Alex boss told the club’s official website: “Chuma had a bit of niggle on Saturday, so we will wrap him up in cotton wool to make sure he is right for Boxing Day. We should have Ports back and if we play both of them, I hope that they both score.

“Chuma has scored goals in the last few games and Ports is top scorer so we know we have two good goalscorers up there.”
