David Artell agrees that the busy month of December can well shape the end of the season. The Crewe boss wants his players to continue to churn out results in the winter months and head into 2020 with the home stretch well and truly in sight.
The Alex are currently 3rd in the table and will be aiming to build on that with three points at the Moss Rose this weekend. Crewe are awaiting news if the game is to proceed or not due to the continued saga of unpaid wages at the Cheshire club.
David told us: “How another club runs their business is nothing to do with us and all we can do is prepare right until we are told otherwise.
“The games are coming thick and fast and we don’t want to get a fixture pileup.
“We want to keep going. He have to keep going. We prepare for each game wanting to win it. We want to play and we want to win the three points and take that into the Christmas period and then into New Year and then we will see where we are in March and April.
“There is plenty of football to be played and we have to keep churning out results like we have been on a consistent basis.”
