David Artell says he cannot thank the fans enough for their terrific support in 2019 and he is pleased that there will be another large contingent travelling to Salford on Boxing Day.
The Alex boss feels that his Crewe team continue to entertain this season. We won our sixth away game of the season by defeating Stevenage 5-1 on Saturday and Artell says he is enjoying the way we are performing.
The Crewe boss told the club’s official website: “The fans were terrific on Saturday. It is the weekend before Christmas and I am sure some of them still have a bit of Christmas shopping to do but they were there again in their numbers. The support has been terrific all year.
“I am told there will be plenty of them at Salford on Boxing Day. It is not as far as Stevenage but it is still fantastic to see them travelling in their numbers, the day after Christmas.
“I think we are providing value for money. The results are vital and as a manager you know that if you don’t get them then you inevitably lose your job but I like to be entertained as well. I like to see good football and entertain the supporters. I think we are doing that.
He added: “We are third in the league and playing some good stuff so I am a happy man.”
