David Artell says that the talented Callum Ainley has to keep on producing performances like he showed when coming on as an impact substitute against Mansfield last weekend.
Ainley replaced Oli Finney with 20 minutes remaining and grew in influence in and around the opposition penalty area. Ainley combined well his close pal Charlie Kirk and Harry Pickering down the left hand side, as we tried to snatch that late winner.
The Alex boss said of the 22-year-old playmaker: “Callum is a good player. We all see that and you cannot keep that type of talent down for too long.
“He is another one who has been unfortunate not to have played more minutes. He is a terrific lad, he has great attitude to the training and works hard.
“His performance on Saturday certainly gives me food for thought”
