Lancashire Will Serve One Match Suspension

19 August 2019

Olly Lancashire will serve a one match suspension against Crawley Town tomorrow night after receiving too yellow cards against Walsall on Saturday. Lancashire was making his home debut for the club and was rather unfortunate to see red after too rather soft yellow cards.

After our 1-0 win over the Saddlers, David Artell told the club’s official website that ‘one door closes, so anyone will open for someone else’.

The Alex boss has options with the experienced Nicky Hunt returning from injury against Walsall late on to protect the lead following Lancashire’s red card.

Artell could again turn to Ryan Wintle to play in a central defensive position or rely on youngster Billy Sass-Davies to fill the void left by Lancashire’s suspension.
