Defender Olly Lancashire is getting closer to full fitness but David Artell says that he will not rush back the former Swindon Town captain because of the amount of game time he missed in pre-season.

Lancashire was restricted to just one pre-season performance away at Altrincham after suffering a slight tear in his groin.

Manager David Artell told the club’s official website: “Olly is getting closer every day. He is back with us but he missed a large chunk of the pre-season, so I won’t be rushing him back until he is right.

“He is making steady progress and he and Nicky (Hunt) are not far off at all.”
