Crewe Alexandra manager David Artell says that the club’s new loan signing Chuma Anene will have no problem settling into life in England after experiencing different countries and cultures through his football.
The 26-year-old has signed at Crewe until the end of the season and has already played in Macedonia, Denmark, Norway and the Russian Premier Division.
The new signing even travelled to Crawley on the day he signed to watch his new team in action.
Artell told the club’s official website: "It’s been going on a good few weeks. We liked what we saw and we did a bit of research on him.
"We spoke to Henning Berg for example and he gave him a glowing reference, so even though he was 2,000 miles away we think we’ve done enough due diligence.
“We hope he will hit the ground running.
"It can take a bit of time when you bring in players who are not English but he’s a bit of a globetrotter.
The boss added: "He’s a real sensible boy with his head screwed on. He’s a really intelligent boy who has made a good impression because he handles himself well."
