Artell: "We Cannot Concern Ourselves Too Much About What Plymouth Do"

2 August 2019

David Artell admits that it will be difficult to predict Plymouth Argyle's starting XI tomorrow but the Alex boss is more concerned with how his team performs in the season’s opening game at Gresty Road.

His opposite number at Plymouth, Ryan Lowe, knows Crewe inside out after being a fantastic servant over two playing spells with the club and his move from Bury in the summer along with his assistant (and another of our former players) Steve Schumacher and five players from The Shakers has only added some spice to an already attractive fixture in League Two.

Ahead of the first fixture of the 2019/20 season, David told crewealex.net: “We will approach it the right way and we need to play to our strengths to get the three points. We know that.

“Plymouth have a new manager in Ryan and you can only really guess how they are going to line-up. They have a lot of new players and a big squad. They could have a completely different 11 players to what we think but we are not too concerned about them. It is how we play and making sure we do what we are capable of.

“It is one game, three points and we have to try and get them. “
