New Crewe Alexandra loan striker Chuma Anene could be available for selection for the game at Newport County AFC this weekend if he receives international clearance in time.
The 26-year-old from FC Midtjylland passed a medical this week & faces a race against time to receive international clearance in time for the trip to South Wales.
After just one training session with his new side & if clearance is granted, boss David Artell must now decide whether to include the Norwegian in his matchday squad.
Artell said: "He's had his medical & our staff have done a terrific job to get the deal over the line & get all the paperwork & whatnot ready for him to be part of our setup.
"He did an hour of training before the under 23 game the other day & he's joined in with full training for the first time today. We've done enough work on him & due dilligence. So far what we've seen, it's confirmed what we saw before we signed.
"He needs to get used to how we play, what we do & what to expect & the tactical side of it, but we're looking forward to doing that."
