Crewe Alexandra have recalled Lewis Reilly from his loan spell at Curzon Ashton and the Academy graduate could gain more first-team experience with us now with five games remaining.

Reilly burst on the scene with a well taken brace against Port Vale in the Checkatrade Trophy last season but he has been restricted to just two substitute appearances this season.

David Artell told the club’s official website: “We have recalled Lewis and he has done well on loan. He scored something like eight goals in 16 appearances. That is one in two.

“If he can go on and get one in three at this level then that will do for me. “
