Pickering Return Makes It Virtually A Fully-Fit Final Squad

30 April 2019

With the versatile Harry Pickering back in full training, the Crewe Alexandra boss, David Artell, has virtually a full fit squad to choice from for our final away game of the season at Grimsby Town this weekend.

Pickering has made a full recovery from his hernia operation and could be in line to play some part at Blundell Park at the weekend. Pickering has played mostly at left-back this season but is equally at ease in a midfield role and he has worked hard to get back before the climax of the season. His last outing for the club was in the 6-1 win over Crawley and he had been playing through the pain barrier before that.

Loan signing Aaron Taylor-Sinclair and Nicky Hunt have deputised in recent weeks, in the absence of the former Academy graduate.

The only Crewe Alexandra player certainly ruled out for the final game of the season is goalkeeper Dave Richards after surgery on his shoulder.
