David Artell has requested a personal hearing with the Football Association following his red card and charge of improper conduct stemming from our Easter fixture at Swindon.

Artell was sent to the directors’ box after contesting some decisions made by referee Lee Collins with his Crewe Alexandra side going on to win the game 2-1 at the County Ground.

David told the club’s official website: “I have requested a personal hearing and will go to the FA sometime next week. It is an on-going process and can only update you after that.

“The red card was a bit harsh, it could have been a yellow card but the second charge I will speak about next week once we have had the hearing.”
