Artell: "We Focus On What We Need To Do"

18 April 2019

Boss out to protect impressive home record against struggling Yeovil.

David Artell has told the club’s official website that we will be remained focussed on us rather than worrying too much about Yeovil Town. The Crewe boss says that his aim is to make sure we finish as high as possible and with as many points as possible and although he knows how much is riding on the game for the Glovers, his focus is on achieving another home win.

Ahead of our Good Friday encounter at the Alexandra Stadium, the Crewe boss said: “We want to finish as high as we can and make sure our impressive home record continues. We want to try and address our away form in the last two games and we will be planning and playing properly.

“We want to win the last four games and end the season successfully. We didn’t disrespect our opponent last week and I picked a team that I thought could win the game. It will be the same with Yeovil.

“We will speak about them and highlight their strengthens and weaknesses, because they have got some good players but first and foremost we will be concentrating on ourselves and what we need to do.

“We respect all our opponents but we do not feat them. I believe that if we play to our potential then we can give anyone in this league a game, and we have proved that with wins over the likes of Lincoln, MK Dons, Mansfield and Tranmere.

He added: “Every game is tough. It doesn’t particularly matter if they are at the top and going to promotion or like Yeovil, and fighting for their lives. We know what we have got to do.”
