Ryan Wintle believes that Crewe Alexandra process the right blend of youth and experience to be challenging at the right end of the League Two table. The Crewe midfielder, 21, knows that consistency will be key if we are to sustain a serious push for promotion.
“At this football club we want to be higher and if I can play better every week, and everyone else can play better, we’ll get more wins that we need.
“It gives me confidence knowing the gaffer puts his trust in me but nobody’s safe.
“There are people trying to take my place but the competition is good because it pushes you along.
“I don’t think this club should be in League Two, we should be higher, and that’s the objective this year.”
Ryan added: “We feel we can probably overrun teams because we’ve got strong legs, so we have to try as a four to create as well as stay tight and not concede many goals.
“We all have to chip in with goals, assists and defending. And if we get the ball down and play there is freedom for us.
“It’s going all right personally but it doesn’t mean anything to me unless we get three points.”
