David Artell has told us that Kevin O’Connor has fully recovered from the heavy collision he suffered against Tranmere Rovers in the Checkatrade Trophy last week.
The on-loan Preston North End defender was stretched off just after the half an hour mark and had to be replaced by Michael Raynes. Crewe went on to win the game 4-3.
O’Connor was checked over at the local hospital on the night and has been allowed to resume training today.
David told the club’s official website: “Kevin is fine. He was treated with a great deal of precaution because it was his head and possibly neck. He is fine and has been training.
“He will be okay and will be in contention for Saturday.”
