Miller Has Injection To Ease Knee Discomfort

16 October 2018

One player who will not be involved in our Cheshire Senior Cup tie this evening is striker Shaun Miller.

The Alex forward replaced Chris Porter in our 1-1 draw with Bury on Saturday and he has now had an injection in his knee to ease the inflammation. Miller has been struggling with the slight discomfort problem all season and boss David Artell says it will be a major boost to have a fully fit Shaun Miller available again.

David told the club’s official website: “Shaun has had the injection in his knee now, so we are hoping that it will settle it down quickly.

“He had a slight problem since pre-season but it was important for him to get through the pre-season.

"He managed to do that and get that foundation in but I think it caught up with him a bit.

"We had to be cautious with him hence why he didn’t come on at Lincoln. He has good and bad days.

“Saying that he was looking really sharp in training last week and I think that was because it was settling down on his own. I think it will allow him to kick on a bit now and it will be a real plus to have a fully fit Shaun Miller.”
