Assistant manager, Kenny Lunt, expects another tough game against Phil Brown’s Swindon Town this evening, but he believes that if Crewe Alexandra can keep the ball as well as we did for large periods of the game against Notts County and be better with our final ball, then we are more than capable of getting back on track at Gresty Road.
Crewe have recently lost three games on the bounce to rivals Port Vale, a very talented Manchester City Development side in the Checkatrade Trophy and then to Notts County on Saturday.
Ahead of this evening’s fixture against the Robins at the Alexandra Stadium, the club’s assistant manager said: “We want to win every game and Swindon at home is no different. They are all difficult games in this league and on any given day, anyone can beat anyone.
“If we have to get through the period we are going through at the moment but it will turn.
“Swindon are a good team but I don’t think there is a lot between the teams in this league. You can sometimes get a freakish result, like we did on the opening day of the season or at Colchester. That can happen and it just isn’t us it happens to. Those days can happen.
Kenny added: “We have been in games that we have lost. It has been close, so we have to make sure that we are on the right side of some of them.”
