Hunt To Deputise Again Against Imps?

4 October 2018

Perry Ng is still rated as a major doubt for the weekend trip to league leaders Lincoln City at the weekend.

Ng rolled his ankle in training on Monday and although he was able to continue, he struggled the following day and was unable to face Swindon Town on Tuesday evening.

The Liverpool-born defender failed a late fitness test and his absence saw a late recall for the experienced Nicky Hunt.

Hunt helped Crewe to a clean-sheet and three points in our 1-0 win and the former Bolton Wanderers, Accrington Stanley and Leyton Orient man is the most likely to feature again if Ng is not fit enough to travel.

Michael Raynes was unfortunate on Tuesday evening because he had played for the Under-23s the previous day. He could be another option in the centre of defence.

Crewe will be without long-term absentees, Paul Green (knee) and Eddie Nolan (calf) but Harry Pickering could be involved after recently returning from his hamstring injury.
