Crewe In Support Of World Mental Health Day

10 October 2018

Crewe Alexandra is one of the 72 EFL clubs supporting World Mental Health Day today. The EFL has chosen the charity Mind as their official charity and we want to use the power of football to help improve the nation’s mental health and wellbeing.

The official logo of Mind is included on the player’s match shirts this season and its unique design has certainly raised awareness at the start of the new campaign. Manager David Artell and the club’s staff are also wearing the pin badges on matchdays to highlight the #OnYourSide campaign.

Crewe Alexandra joined the other EFL clubs by providing a Crewe home shirt to be displayed in our nearest Mind store to help raise the profile of the great work the charity does on so many levels.

The partnership with Mind continues to focus on the following areas:

a)    raise awareness about mental health with fans, clubs and staff

b)   raise funds to deliver life changing support

c)    provide support for EFL players, managers and staff

d) improve the approach to mental health in the EFL, in football  and in wider society

We all need support and someone on our side when things get tough. @EFL’s charity partner @mindcharity work to make sure no one has to face a mental health problem alone. Text FOOTBALL to 70660 to donate £3 to Mind today www.mind.org.uk/Terms #OnYourSide.
