Callum Aiming To Be More Effective As He Prepares For League Milestone

17 October 2018

Callum Ainley is in line to mark his 100th league appearance for the Football Club this weekend and the former Academy graduate is aiming to end his own personal goal drought.

The talented midfielder, who can also play as a number 10, has failed to find the back of the net this season, but he is still having an influential impact on the team.

Ahead of possibly reaching the 100 league game milestone, Ainely told the club’s official website: “I’m quite proud to get to 100 league games, but in those games I wish I’d scored and created a lot more goals.

“Defensively we have been good but there is a lot of work to do.

“We need to add goals, especially myself and the forwards, who haven’t been getting the service they deserve.

“It’s frustrating, especially not getting on the scoresheet just yet.

Callum added: “Everyone is desperate to do well, but you can get a bit caught up with yourself in what you’re trying.”
