It was an afternoon to forget in Lancashire as Crewe Alexandra Under 18s were on the end of a heavy 6-1 defeat to Burnley.
The Clarets stormed into an early two goal lead, but Connor Heath reduced the deficit to 2-1 with a stunning strike into the top corner from the edge of the box with 25 minutes on the clock.
But the hosts reinstated their two goal lead for 3-1 before half-time & ran away with the contest in the second period - notching a further three strikers to rub salt in the Alex wounds.
