Crewe Alexandra face Northampton Town for the first time since March 2012 on Saturday, the two clubs having yo-yo'd past each other with various promotions & relegations.
The Cobblers came down from League One last season & have endured a mixed start to life back in League Two, currently sitting one place & one point behind Crewe in 18th in the table.
That said, they have lost just one of the last six matches & won three of the last four under new manager Keith Curle.
Crewe are unbeaten in two away games having won at Stevenage & drawn at Lincoln, but did suffer a 3-0 defeat to Mansfield at Gresty Road on Tuesday night.
Date: Saturday 3 November 2018
Competition: Sky Bet League Two
Venue: Sixfields Stadium (PTS Academy Stadium)
Previous Meeting At Host Club: Northampton Town 1-1 Crewe (December 2011)
Referee: Scott Oldham (P6, 24Y, 0R)
Crewe: Eddie Nolan is pushing for a start after he completed 90 minutes for the Under 23s on Monday following his recovery from injury.
Paul Green is still missing, but all the remaining regualr first team squad members are expected to be available.
The Alex could move into the top half with a victory if other results fall kindly.
Northampton: Sam Foley is suspended, whilst Shay Facey, Junior Morias, Leon Barnett & Ash Taylor could too be missing.
Since Keith Curle was named new Cobblers boss on October 1st, they've lost just once in seven matches (a 1-0 away defeat at MK Dons) & won on four occassions.
The new manager has certainly transformed his sides' fortunes & it's down to Dave Artell & the Alex to halt that empowering run.
