Eddie Nolan is back in contention for this weekend’s trip to Northampton Town after successfully coming through 90 minutes for the Development Squad away at Sheffield United in the week.
The Irishman managed to get his first full game under his belt since injuring his calf back in early September against Macclesfield Town. Nolan landed awkwardly early on in the game and aggravated the muscle. He later suffered a slight set-back in his comeback but has come through a game and a half for the Under-23s.
David Artell told the club’s official website: “Eddie came through the 90 minutes against Sheffield United as planned. He is fine. He has trained all week, so we will see how he is before we will decide on if he will come with us or not.
He added: “Our formation is always under consideration and we do take into account what the opposition do, but we cannot also lose sight of ourselves and what we want to do.”
