"Dunne's Cambridge Have A Lot Of Spirit"

27 November 2018

Crewe Alexandra manager, David Artell, says that Cambridge United are a dangerous opponent because of the never-say-die attitude they possess.

The U’s impressively fought back from 2-0 down to force a draw against a very good Bury side on Saturday and they also played over half an hour of the second half with ten men after they had Paul Lewis sent off.

The Alex will be looking to erase the frustration of losing 3-0 to Crawley at the weekend after creating enough chances to have won the game comfortably.

Ahead of tonight’s fixture at Gresty Road, Artell said: “Cambridge are on a good run at the minute. They tend to concede and then come back strong. They’ve done that time and time again this season.

"I think they were 2-0 down on Saturday and got back, I think they were 4-0 down in the FA Cup and got back to 4-3, so you know that this current Cambridge team aren’t going to roll over.

"They’ve got a bit of courage about them and a bit of bravery once they go behind.

“If we take the chances that we will create, then we’ll win the game."
