Artell Not Surprised By Tranmere's Start To The Season

16 November 2018

David Artell says he is not surprised by Tranmere Rovers’ consistent start to life back in the EFL. Micky Mellon’s side have been the surprise package in League Two this season and they deservedly occupy one of the play-off positions at the moment.

The Railwaymen will be looking to halt a run of four successive defeats, which has included two cup exits in the past week.

Ahead of our meeting with our North West neighbours, Artell said: “I am not surprised with the way Tranmere have started the season. When you win promotion, you are on the crest of a wave and like I’ve said, winning becomes a habit.

“They are used to winning and Micky has done a fantastic job there to get them out of the National League.

“They work their socks off and have good players. They have a goalscorer in Norwood and it will be a tough test again but we are at home and we are a match for anyone if we perform like we can.”
