David Artell has told the club’s official website that he would be willing to change a winning side if he feels that we need freshening up.
Crewe Alexandra produced one of their outstanding performances of the season to beat Tranmere Rovers 3-2 at Gresty Road last weekend - but Artell says the players have been kept on their toes this week.
Ahead of our trip to Crawley, Artell has told crewealex.net: “It was a terrific performance against Tranmere Rovers and the challenge now is to try and replicate that. They have set the level but that doesn’t mean I won’t freshen things up if I think it needs it.
“Sometimes it is a good thing to stick with the same team when you have won but that can also breed familiarity and that can lead to complacency.
“When you are alongside a player on a regular basis you may thing they will do the run for you and that can lead to laziness, so the option is there to change things up if needed.”
