Boss In Dilemma Over Selection After Good Performance But 'Horrific Result'

27 November 2018

David Artell has not ruled out the possibility of making changes for the visit of Cambridge United this evening.

The Alex boss has a real dilemma on his hands after his Crewe side played well against Crawley on Saturday but ended up losing 3-0. It was a freakish kind of game and the Crewe Alexandra boss has not given much away with his selection plans ahead of the U’s clash tonight.

Captain George Ray has trained after missing the last two games with a hip injury, and the manager may look to freshen things up in his attack after we missed a number of chances in Saturday’s frustrating defeat.

The Crewe boss said: “We went with continuity on Saturday after Tranmere and as much as the performance was good, the result wasn’t good, so we’ll see.

“George didn’t train on Friday, but he has now, so we’ll have to see how he is before we consider him.”
