Miller: "I Want To Be Part Of A Successful Crewe"

18 May 2018

Shaun delighted to be back for the next few years after he impressed on loan.

Shaun Miller is delighted to be back at Crewe on a permanent basis. The striker, 30, agreed a new two year contract yesterday after impressing on loan in the second half of the season.

The club’s former Academy graduate scored six goals on his return to Gresty Road, which included a well taken brace against Cheltenham Town on the final day of the season.

Miller was looking to move back to the North West area and says that he didn’t hesitate once he knew that manager and former team-mate, David Artell, was eager to sign him on a permanent basis.

Shaun told iFollow The Alex: “I am delighted to have signed. When I came back on loan last season, it was at the back of my mind that I could get something more permanent at the end of it. I am just pleased that we have been able to have got it sorted.

“I don’t think I’ve signed a contract as quickly as that at the end of the season, so now I just want to crack on and be as successful as we can be.

“I’ve really enjoyed coming back and everyone has made me feel welcome and embraced me, so that always helps.

Shaun added: “It is great coming back and the team ended the season strongly, and I wanted to be a part of that. The manager has been able to keep the nucleus of the team together and that is a big plus for everyone going into the new season.”
