Boss Wants To Beat Last Season's Points Total

3 May 2018

Crewe Alexandra boss David Artell says that he will prepare his side like any other week for the final game of the season. The Crewe boss wants to end the season with three straight victories after previously beating Morecambe and Crawley and he is looking to surpass last season’s points’ tally of 55 with a home win over Cheltenham Town.

The Alex boss explained: “I’ve said since we were safe that there will be no let-up from us. We want to end the season strongly and we have reiterated that to the players.

“We will prepare properly, like we always do. The players were tested earlier in the week and they have had some down time, but we will step up it again for the last game.

The boss added: “We want to win. It would be great to finish with three wins on the bounce. Our aim is to win the game and make sure we achieve more points than last season. The players are aware of that and they will want to end the season with a win in front of our home supporters.”
