Artell: "I Expect Some Transfer Activity"

14 May 2018

A football manager’s work is never done and David Artell is still working hard behind the scenes to line-up some new faces for next season. With Zoumana Bakayogo leaving the Football Club this summer, the boss is certainly searching for another left-back to offer competition to Harry Pickering for that particular position.

The boss is also hoping to entice Shaun Miller to stay with the club following his successful loan spell. Miller scored six goals during his loan period, after being permitted to join us from Carlisle United in January.

The 30-year-old striker is now out of contract and seeking a move back to the North West area and Artell wants us to be in pole position to re-sign him.

David told the club’s official website: “We are looking for certain areas of improvement and I am sure there will be some transfer activity this summer. I don’t think there will be a lot but there will be some.

“We will work hard to get more in. We are pleased to have signed Paul Green. He has been a great help to us with his experience. It was good to get that bit of business done early.

“We will try and not miss the boat and the planning is still on going. If I can get one or two more done before we get back for pre-season then I would be delighted and we will continue to work hard. “
