There has been even more promising news stemming from the Crewe Alexandra treatment room today with the news that experienced striker Chris Porter will commence running again next week.
The club’s leading scorer this season with 12 goals has not featured since having surgery on his ankle to clear up elements of wear and tear, but now the former Sheffield United, Derby and Colchester forward is ready to step up his rehab.
David Artell revealed to the club’s official website: “Chris will start running again next week. He has been working hard on the bike over the last two weeks and he is ready to start running again now.
“It will be a boost to have all the players back fit and available but it is hard to be optimistic with the numbers of injures we have suffered this season.”
