The Crewe Alexandra manager David Artell has told the club’s official website that he is looking to offer members of his first team squad new and improved terms this summer.
The Crewe Alexandra boss is looking to reward and tie up the likes of Perry Ng. The defender has another year to run on his current deal and the Crewe boss admits that once he has sorted this year’s crop out, he will work his way down the list.
Artell told crewealex.net: “I am working through the list and we will be looking at those who go out of contract the following summer. That is all part of the process going forward.
“Players such as Perry have 12 months left on their deal but we will look at it again. He is a priority but not as much as the ones going out this summer. Once we deal with those, we will move on to the others. That is only logical.
“Perry has a very good agent. He has always been fine and he knows the opportunities we are giving him here. He has played almost every game and I haven’t counted too many bad games from him.
Artell added: “He has been terrific for us and has the potential to be a really good player. There is nothing I want more than Perry to do really well and then be sold on to a higher club. That is the business model of the club and he players know that.”
