David Artell has revealed that he has not made any contact with Oldham or Paul Green regarding the future of the experienced midfielder. Green is currently on loan at the Alexandra Stadium until the end of the season and has been a major influence in seeing the club pick up six points against Colchester and Lincoln City.
The former Eire International is even prepared to play with a fracture of the hand and has had a cast fitted to allow him to play on until the end of the season.
Artell is an admirer of the former Leeds United and Doncaster man but admits that his future has not been discussed.
The boss told us: “Paul has been great for us and we know what a good player he is and what an influence he has been on and off the pitch, but he is an Oldham player and I won’t discuss that in the public domain.
“He is contracted to another club and is truth is we haven’t spoken to Oldham or Paul about his future.
“The thinking behind him coming out on loan was for him to play some games and earn himself a deal somewhere.
“If we are to have that conservation with Paul at some point then the fans will be the first to know about it.”
