Garratt Chosen As Our EFL Community Player Of The Year

28 March 2018

Each year the EFL Awards Evening takes place in April, where players from all Leagues get the chance to win a variety of different awards.

Our goalkeeper Ben Garratt has been nominated as our EFL Community Player of the Year.

Ben has continued to be actively involved in our community projects and a positive role model to our younger supporters.  Ben has visited a number of schools and has actively helped local students with their assignments by giving of his time. He has also coached local children and remains a strong ambassador for the Football Club with our continued work with Kick If Out and Let’s Give Racism the Red Card campaign.

Ben also helped highlight the work the club and the EFL do in aid of Prostate Cancer and raising awareness.

Ben has attended multiple sessions within the local community, meeting supporters, presenting trophies and participating in Q&A sessions. He has always conducted himself in a professional manner and has an engaging and enthusiastic personality when it comes to promoting the work of our Community scheme and that of the Football Club.

We would like to congratulate Ben on his nomination and on his success of being chosen as our EFL Community Player of the Year.
