David Artell has told the club’s official website that contact talks have continued with certain members of his first team squad.

Eddie Nolan has recently activated an extra year on his terms after an impressive debut season with the club. The Irishman has been rewarded with an extra 12 months after making 38 appearances in all competitions.

The likes of Tom Lowery and Ryan Wintle have agreed new deals and the likes of Callum Ainley, Harry Pickering and Charlie Kirk are all been discussed as they are out of contract this summer.

Artell told crewealex.net: “The talks are still on going. I’ve spoken to a couple of the lads again and I have spoken to one of their agents. It is an on-going process and I remain optimistic that they will want to stay with us.

“It is still going along nicely but the most important thing is that we pick up those points first and foremost.”
