Artell: "We Are As One"

12 March 2018

Crewe Alexandra boss David Artell firmly believes that the character, spirit and camaraderie of the camp will see us safe from relegation.

Crewe have recently fought back from 1-0 down to record a 4-1 at Lincoln City before coming back from 2-0 down to salvage a point at Stevenage on Saturday. Goals from Perry Ng and Charlie Kirk in the final ten minutes of the game saw the Railwaymen deservedly pick up a point from Broadway Hall.

Artell told the club’s official website: “At 2-0 down with ten minutes to go, we would have certainly taken a point.

“I said after the game that we had conceded two really poor goals and they really should have scored a third to put the game to bed.

“We have that spirit, fight and character here and I have been saying for much of the season that we are all in this together. We have certainly seen that belief in the last 5, 6, 7 games and we deserved something from Saturday.

“The fans stuck with us and it was a great moment when Charlie’s goal has gone in. There is a real camaraderie between the whole group. We are all in this together and the club is united. We are as one from the players, staff, directors’,  right through to the youngest supporter.”
