"My Opinion Of Darren Doesn't Change"

9 March 2018

David Artell says his team will focus firmly on ourselves as we aim to record back-to-back wins for the time since August with a win at Stevenage this weekend.

The Crewe boss would not be drawn on Darren Sarll’s comments to his local media proclaiming that ‘he expects to win’ and says that his opinion of the Stevenage boss does not alter.

Ahead of this weekend’s trip to the Lamex, Artell said: “Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I won’t be telling Darren how do to his job and I know he would be the same about mine. It is a tough gig being a football manager and I have a great respect for Darren and the way he wants his teams to play.

“They will play the right way and whatever Darren has or hasn’t said to their local media does not change my opinion of him. He is a good manager and I look forward to seeing him this weekend.

“We have to focus on us and making sure that we do our jobs properly and that we are better than the opposition on the day. That is the trick and we have to make sure we are. It is about us and not what Stevenage do.”
