Artell: "Always Enjoy Going To The Hive Stadium"

Boss says it's a shame that there is no sentiment in football.

David Artell says football does not do sentimentally as he prepares to put more points between his Crewe Alexandra and bottom club Barnet tomorrow afternoon.

The Alex travel to the capital later today as they prepare for the first of our Easter matches. Three points for Crewe would see us move a massive 16 points clear of the Bees.

Artell is an admirer of the community spirit, Barnet have been able to create since moving to the Hive Stadium and he says it is a shame to see them struggling at the bottom of the table.

Ahead of our trip to Barnet, Dave told us: “The people at Barnet have done really well. It is a nice set-up there and they have done a great job.

“I was there a few weeks ago to watch them play Port Vale and they were very welcoming. I enjoyed going there and it is shame to see them where they are. There is no sentiment in football and sometimes that is a shame because they have created a real community feel.

“Of course, it can helpful to watch the opposition play in person. You can pick up one or two things and we have an excellent analyst here in John Dillon who will pinpoint their strengths and weaknesses. We have gone out and done the work on that.”
