Kenny Lunt has said that the management team will not rule out the possibility of signing players on a loan basis. The club’s assistant manager says that the staff will work diligently on trying to find a new full-back on a permanent deal first and foremost but he says that a quality loan player would be just as good if one became available this summer.

Lunt told the club’s official website: “We do have room in the budget to bring one or two more in. They may be a permanent signing and that is what we will look for first but that is not to say that we are ruling out loan players.

“A really good young one could become available and if we think he is the right one then we would try and get him. We have to be open over every possibility.

“As I’ve said, we have time on our side and we don’t have to rush into anything. The loan ones may come very late in the day and it is something we have to consider because players want to do their pre-season at their own clubs as they might get their chance.”
