Experienced midfielder Paul Green says that it is imperative that Crewe Alexandra continue to build on the momentum that was created with our positive end to the season. A relatively consistent second half of the season saw Railwaymen move away from a relegation scrap to finish in the comfort of 15th place.
The arrival of Green on loan from Oldham Athletic certainly helped with that improvement and Crewe ended the season with six wins from the last nine games, including ending the campaign with three straight victories.
Paul told the club’s official website: “When I first came in on loan there were some results that were hard to take but we ended the season really strongly. It would be nice to take that momentum into next season.
“We have got to build on what we achieved and it will be interesting because the gaffer has kept the nucleus of the squad together. He signed up the young lads he wanted and myself and Shaun have signed permanently as well, so it’s looking healthy.”
