David Artell believes that England’s obvious team spirit and ability can see them go far in the World Cup. The Crewe Alexandra boss says that forming a healthy spirit inside the dressing room is imperative to building a successful side and he feels he has a good bunch heading into the new season.

The Alex boss told crewealex.net: “You can see the difference team spirit can make. On one hand you have Germany and Argentina with some unrest in their camps and they have struggled. When there is discord it can undermine everything.

“You can go far with a good team spirit and I hope England do.

“It is no different at club level, I would say team spirit is worth between 12-20 points and that can make a massive difference to where you finish. It can be the difference of finishing in the automatic promotion places or in the play-offs, or not being in contention at all. “
