Miller's Injury Not As Bad As First Feared

30 July 2018

Shaun Miller’s knee injury is not as bad as first feared and it is hoped that the experienced striker will be back in contention soon enough.

Miller has missed the last few pre-season matches and he recently went for a scan to assess the extent of his injury but he has received encouraging news ahead of the seasonal opener against Morecambe.

Miller hit the winner between the two clubs back in April and he notched his first goal of pre-season in a tight win at local club Kidsgrove Athletic.

James Jones also missed training last week due a tight hamstring but the midfielder was able to resume training on Friday and came on in the second half against Blackpool. The former Scotland Under-21 International is fit and in contention for Saturday’s opener.
