David Artell was pleased with the performances of his young full-backs, Travis Johnson and Rio Adebisi in the 2-1 win at Kidsgrove Athletic.
The two Academy graduates played 90 minutes of our latest pre-season friendly and certainly caught the eye with their ambition to get forward and reliable defending.
The Crewe boss was pleased with their contribution on the night.
He said: “The two young lads did well. They were fine and did some outstanding things. They got through the 90 minutes well and both of them are quick and athletic. They both have the ability to get forward and it was good for the supporters to see them.
“They have to keep working hard to keep on improving but they are two players with potential and I’m sure they will get more chances.”
