Ryan Wintle is hoping to get his first 90 minutes under his belt in today’s Under-23 fixture against Leeds United. The Crewe Alexandra midfielder has recently stepped up his return from injury with game time against Hull City’s Under-23s and Runcorn in the Cheshire Senior Cup.
If the former Alsager Town man goes close to achieving a full 90 minutes, he could be considered for this weekend’s home fixture against Wycombe Wanderers. Wintle was an unused substitute at Carlisle United at the weekend, but it was unlikely he would have been risked at Brunton Park.
Defender George Ray is also expected to play some part against Leeds United this afternoon.
