Signing: Shaun Miller Joins On Loan From Carlisle

25 January 2018

Crewe Alexandra have completed the loan signing of Carlisle United striker Shaun Miller on a deal until the end of the season.

The Alex academy graduate returns to Gresty Road after five-and-a-half years away & is available for the trip to Swindon Town this weekend. He will wear the number 32 shirt.

Miller made his professional debut for the Alex in November 2006 and went on to score 43 goals in 179 games for the Club over six years before signing for Sheffield United for an undisclosed fee in July 2012.

After nine goals in 35 during his time with the Blades, Miller moved on to Coventry & then Morecambe via loan spells with Shrewsbury, Crawley & York City.

It was during the 2015/16 season at the Globe Arena where Miller had his most fruitful return since leaving Crewe, notching 16 goals in 43 games for the Shrimps.

The 30-year-old, from Alsager, has been a regular during the last 18-months at Carlisle, but Manager Keith Curle has allowed the striker to re-join his boyhood club.

Miller loves a goal against near neigbours Port Vale, netting four in eight games against the Valiants during his original stay at Gresty Road.

Everyone at Crewe Alexandra would like to welcome Shaun back to the football club.
